About Costa Rica Corner

Hi! We're Sarah and Shaya, the faces behind Costa Rica Corner.  We are two travel enthusiasts who met in Costa Rica and quickly bonded over our shared love of Costa Rica and helping others experience this incredible country.

Shaya, originally from Canada, first traveled to Costa Rica in 2013 and has returned many times since, often spending months at a time exploring the country with her two jungle-loving kids. Along the way she gained practical experience navigating destinations, transportation, accommodations, and the many details that come with planning a trip here.

Sarah, from the United States, shares the same passion for travel and adventure. She has spent many years living in Costa Rica and traveling in and out of the country, gaining firsthand knowledge of its regions, culture, and hidden gems. Through her experiences exploring everything from vibrant beach towns to lush jungle destinations, she has developed a deep appreciation for the country and a strong understanding of what travelers need to plan a smooth and memorable trip.

After we met in Costa Rica, we quickly realized we shared the same goal: helping others experience this unforgettable country with confidence while avoiding some of the common planning headaches travelers often run into.
